“咖哩”应为“咖喱”。

第 8 版简体、繁体&第 7 版繁体： Use any leftover meat to make a curry. 要是有剩肉就做咖哩菜。

嘿，发现了一个可能不算错误的地方。

在牛津 8 当中出了“巨头鲸”专有名词外，其他的表示产业大都写成了“钜头”。查了一下，钜通巨。并且在 7 版当中 crossfire 词条下 industrial giants翻译为“工业巨头”，在 8 版中修订为“钜头”。

, P. g7 O* ~, u) R嘿嘿，这是简体和繁体之别，如果是 mdx 的话，牛高 8 双解 mdx 简体本质还是繁体的文字内容，是机器转换而非人工转换。
查证了下，实际纸版第 8 版，https://cn.bing.com/dict/search?q=crossfire

繁体是：

所以，mdx 的话，我一般用的还是繁体，或者至少是保留了原始数据的繁简切换版。

任何词句都可以看作夸张的反讽，但这属于文学用法，要结合上下文语境的即context才能正确理解。
实际对话中，估计还得加上“air quotes”兔耳手势。
堂堂牛津，这样的例句前面不加【讽刺用法】语法标签，仅仅加粗字体，会给使用者造成困扰甚至误导。
, w  o, x& k# q# N5 j8 o一开始我看到“not altogether”加粗字体，自然反应“这多半是idiom吧”，但比照其他词典“没发现啊”。

即使像《韦氏词典》当中解释的 main boyfriend or girlfriend，私以为 main 更偏向于“最重要的”，而不是“最要好的”，如果引申的话，那就是“挚爱的”。

在 embark 词条下，它的名词 embarkation 给出这样的例句。

上船时间是 14:20。
因为不明白 hours 在这儿的作用，所以查了一下：
