看完你就明白Lakoff说的"trivializing particles"是什么意思了，我理解的差不多就是"使显得不重要，淡化"的意思。你看上面的例句(b)，当时的场景可能是对方告诉她某某某绑架了某个baby，这位女士用的词是"dear me"这么一个语气比较弱的particle，而不是"what the fuck"、"holy shit"、"what the damn fuck"、"shit a brick"、"fuck my face"等等这些语气比较重的particle。baby被绑架这么可怕的事情可能多数人听到这个消息之后用词都会比较重，这种情况下用"dear me"就算是一个"trivializing particle"。 |
