THE MORAL OF A TV SERIAL

The youngest son in a family of three, Xu was known in the village as one feckless weakling — that's good-for-nothing. After middle school, and especially with no practical thoughts in mind, he joined the army at his father's bidding. He was wholly unaware then of the difficulties ahead.

2）he made an astonishing record of 333 Stomach Spins on a horizontal bar (283 more than expected), thanks to which he was sick in bed for a week;

3）he single-handedly captured one enemy lieutenant colonel during a major military exercise, who turned out to be an ace fighter of the army's most elite troops;/ {) e/ b" ~" {7 A6 u( _

5）in a mock counter-terrorist operation, his move reduced the probability to a meager 15% of terrorists detonating a plant of toxic chemicals. It was not until he had driven the truck loaded with explosives way out of the plant that he realized he had been fooled.

Xu's story stretches into a lengthy, 30-part TV serial, but it could also be adapted into a common three-hour film based on these five feats. If so the film would be a valuable life lesson for us all.
