: y! _* U* r2 p4 u7 TPDAWIKI is really a wonderful forum from which you can obtain many valuable or even precious data that is beneficial for study, such as electronic dictionary, foreign language magazine or newspaper. Besides, many people would like to share their invaluable experience of learning English, and that’s quite fantastic. However, today I’m not going to discuss the merits or demerits of PDAWIKI. Instead, I plan to say something about the way of using dictionary more efficiently and effectively.
First and foremost, it is essential for you to select a right dictionary. The word “right”, I deem, has a lot of meanings:  1) Something that is suitable for you, for your English level, for your grade…If you are a senior high school student, an Oxford Advanced Learner’s English-Chinese Dictionary will be enough.
( [2 Q  p, n* z3 o) l1 ^& u2)Using a right dictionary for the right purpose. From my perspective, there are three categories of dictionary: dictionary for English learners, dictionary for native speakers, dictionary used as a tool whenever you need. Each category has its own specific use. For example, CC-CREDIT could be used for Chinese-English translation or English writing. It is seldom used as a learner’s dictionary.
Secondly, never forget to underline or mark any content that you think is important. But the purpose of doing this is to highlight the point, so you shouldn’t mark too much in the explanation of a single word. Otherwise, marking or underlining will be meaningless.
7 O5 v. U; M0 A5 W3 pLast but not least, try to memorize both the Chinese and English definition of the most commonly seen or used meanings of a word. As to its rarely seen or used meanings, just ignore them, because you will hardly use them.
0 I/ l4 W' C% C7 Q$ v0 bThere are also many other points that you should pay attention to when using a dictionary. I hope that you can supplement some useful tips on how to use dictionaries more effectively and efficiently.

英文可以按两个字母一个字算

汉英和英汉词典混搭使用，初学者使用非母语者的词典比较适合，基于个人目前的水平，仅在使用《柯林斯英汉双解学习词典》。
至于英文的单个word有多种解释，我不会一股脑记下来，而是根据英文文本的上下文选取词典中合适的意思代入，一个个地记。到下一次看到不同的英文文本再遇到同样的word，不过是不同的意思的再记取。也就是说，水平低一般是根据语境猜其word的意思。
