[语言求助] allowed go out and play with the other kids ?

    非常有意思的问题,以前没注意到过。搜索了一下,发现词组"allow to do sth."可能是爱尔兰地区的特殊用法:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi ... mmatical_influences1 K1 n# W4 {3 B  L
    To is often omitted from sentences where it would exist in British English. For example, "I'm not let go out tonight", instead of "I'm not allowed to go out tonight".

    另外个人猜想,be allowed to go out 是口语或非正规的用法,在特定场合下还是可以接受的。

    可以发现后面几处都是直接引用被采访者的话,被采访者不是土生土长的英国人,而且记者后面也没有特意用[sic]标明,可能 be allowed go out 这一说法虽然不够正规但终归能被接受。
