朗文 6 的 recommend 词条用法说明前后矛盾

如图所示，朗文 5 直接说不能用 recommend sb to do sth，而 朗文 6 的 recommend  词条第一个释义中增加了 recommend sb to do sth 的搭配，但在语法说明的示例中却说不能用 recommend sb to do sth，不免让人困惑。而 Longman Dictionary of Common Errors 中又说 British English also uses recommend sb to do sth，真是矛盾啊。
而查牛津高阶和其他用法词典（如柯林斯），都显示 recommend 可以用这种搭配。
