查遍longman5 extra examples,和两千英文名著，竟然没有一个"go to cinema"的例子。
: X8 f/ g! x6 _9 o6 A看来“go to the cinema”才是准确的。

! H( s8 I2 [6 Y2 P而“go to school" vs. "go to the school"中学教的倒没错。

When you use 'go to cinema' you mean any cinema in general ,the concept of going to a movie theatre and watching a movie as in :

! I" A1 s+ \; z2 R" Why do people like to go to cinema?"

8 G5 Z( C2 M0 ]0 Y' @+ q+ {; vIf you are more specific and mention that you are going to watch a movie in the cinema and you certainly mean a certain movie and cinema in this case you say:

"I am going to the cinema tonight, would you like to join me?"

忘了说，"go to cinemas"在longman5是有的。好像这种说法是正常的，排除掉这种情形，及“go to Cinema 6”，真正的“go to cinema"在jazzmood的三个例子中仅出现一次。
