seven-year itch 為何是七年????

純屬偶然的在遠東新世紀英漢辭典看到 seven-year itch 詞條
遺憾的是無多說明的含糊帶過且釋義應該並不是真正的原因
又剛好在 word smart for business 翻到 common-law marriage
其釋義已不言而喻的闡釋其真正的原因
common-law marriage :
A marriage based not on a ceremony but on living together and intending to be married. Often, such an arrangement is considered a legal marriage after seven years.

想賴也來不及
所以趕在同居滿七年之前分手

我也觉得是来源于美国电影 The Seven Year Itch，里面男主角读的一本精神学家的书中写道，基于15000份调查，婚后七年是出轨最高发的时期。

Chambers Dictionary上有两个义项：
1.In England, any of various informal types of marriage ceremony given legal recognition until 1753, some of which, it performed abroad, are still legally valid.
2.Loosely, the bond between a man(common-law-husband) and woman)comman-law wife)living together as husband and wife but not legally married.

要么有合法地位，要么没有，都可以，中国人的七年之痒，现在也不一定是指事实婚姻了。
