查helluva，发现《文馨当代英汉词典》（http://www.amazon.cn/文馨当代英汉词典-蔡进松/dp/B0011ABOUI）｛出版社: 中国青年出版社; 第1版 (2001年5月1日)｝义项、例句如下。

英汉大词典，（第1版和第2版几乎一模一样，It's really one helluva book I've read in years.译文不同，pay a helluva price for sth. ｛第1版译作“以极高的价格购得某物”，第2版改为“以天价购得某物”，管中窥豹，第2版修订也耗费了大量心血，不像某些词典，加几个“新词”了事）。

1987 第三版 「最新英漢辭典」(即當代第三版) 的 helluva条如下，释义和第五版一模一样，但是没有一个例句。

《英汉大词典》和文馨的helluva释义，应该都是来自WBD。英国的词典，哪怕是OED，对helluva的解释，都很简单。

然后以例句说明用法。 O版研究透彻，学习 frivolous第一个释义没看明白：
1. 〖教育〗设计编序式学习计画者
She's a frivolous girl. 她是个轻浮的女孩。
怎么跟“休假式疗养”这么拗口？ frivolous第一个释义应该是数据错误吧，等待O大来澄清。 信用破產了。
這個已修正。 啰嗦一句，这个词连W2都没收，讨论意义不大 研究社新英和中词典，文馨词典列出了17种参考书，但主要应该就是参考的这一本
